How long after you open a bottle of soju is it still drinkable (and refrigerated)? I know wine has to be drunk within 3-12 days (depending on the type), beer goes flat within the night night, but hard liquor is good for . . . a long time. What's the deal with soju?
And while I'm at it, Baileys (also refrigerated). It's got the alcohol content of hard liquor but it's Irish "Cream". How long is it good? |

You don't just finish the bottles? You can't leave wounded soldiers!!!
But if you must, just remember they only cost like 3,000W for a bottle, so it's not a big deal. |

I have NEVER refrigerated Bailey's and have had opened liters for months. Most times it doesn't last months, well, maybe 2 on the max. I mean it doesn't last, as I drink it with 2 months. |

When I drank soju, I never left a drop in the bottle, so there was nothing left to drink later.
Thats why soju is sold in such small bottles- because it was meant to be finished in one sitting. |

I'm not a big soju drinker and the only reason I have some is because the previous teachers left me 6 bottles. And seeing as it's the only alcohol in my apartment (with the Baileys) I'm wondering how safe/tasty is would be to drink them. |

Drink all 6 bottles at once, it's the only way to be sure.
Or you could just put a bow on 'em and give 'em as Christmas presents. Problem solved. |

I also like the Christmas gift idea, if I'm the recipient.
No one drinks soju for the taste. That stuff is indestructable. Drink without concern. It can't go flat or spoil. It isn't possible. (If you are new to the experience, mix it with a little Coke to kill the taste.) |

Don't know where you buy your soju, but you're getting ripped off badly. |

Does liquor ever go bad?
Bailey's opened and not refrigerated is still good months later, bottles of whiskey and vodka years later, so why not soju?
But if you have any doubt then that affects your experience: throw it out. It's so cheap anyway! |

DO NOT!!! attempt to drink all 6 bottles at once.
Here is my memorable "soju moment"
Lunar New Years, 2003.
From 3pm to 9pm, I proceeded to drink about 8 bottles worth of soju, almost continuously.
My night ended re-enacting the pea soup scene for the Exorcist at the King Club and waking up the next morning in my bath tub- how I got home was a huge blur to me.
When I was a soldier assigned to Camp Stanley, I was a member of a soju drinking club that downed 1 to 2 "combat bottles" of soju a night for 2 weeks up until Christmess........You wouldn't believe the smell of soju in the morning once the unit was formed up to do PT.......not counting the unit runs......
If you don't understand the effects of drinking soju, I'll break it down into a pictorial explanation:
Before~ What we look like before a night of drinking soju....
After~ What we look like the morning after.....
And for women......You're not immune to the effects of soju either
Before....
And unfortunately, After......
Need I say more? |

I have some mint, one year old soju in the fridge. Like wine, it gets better with age. |

I would think that diluted ethanol (i.e. soju) would last ages. |

i wouldn't be so quick to categorize soju as the "Same" as hard liquor.
i once put soju in the freezer to make it cold, as one might a vodka.
it froze solid. |
