| I've had two scooters stolen, my diploma stolen, approx. 50,000 won stolen out of wallet at work (hakwon - student!!), and my house was broken into before (the idiots only stole a few thousand won I had left on top of the fridge and my coin jar). Plus, countless other small items - my English/Korean dictionary, a novel, a few Cds... I've been robbed blind in this country. |

Troll sock or not, thievery from the teachers room has happened at a few schools I have worked at. |
Yeah, I had some K-teachers tell me to put my stuff inside my desk, as one of the other teachers purses disappeared under mysterious circumstances. I'm fairly untouchable, though. If kids caught wind that one of the other girls stole from me, there'd be blood spilled. One of the perks of being a mid-20's whitie at an all-girls high school. |

The old adage about running naked through a Volvo lorry park may be true after all
Seriously though, my co-teacher left her phone in her desk drawer while outside attending an open-day function.
They had managed to download a few tunes before the provider had blocked the number. Her bag was safely locked in a cupboard. I haven't trusted the wee people since, although they are 99.8% A1. |

Scooters are like umbrellas in Japan: it's almost like it's not even a crime here. I haven't owned a one, but many my Korean friends have had and have had them stolen as well. |
