Hey! It's Christmas and I need vodka...

Does anyone know where I can get something better than Absolut? I normally drink the Polish stuff through this festive time and I need something that is at the same level.

I assume that due to the Russian population, one must have to get it somewhere. Any dodgy little bottle stores in Itaewon that I should know about?

Thanks.

It's called Zubrowka...

I'm pretty much looking for one with a stick of Bison grass in it... Quality stuff that you never mix with mixers. Just drink it out a little shot glass.

I don't know any other vodka's, unfortunately. Hope you can help!

I know of a liquor store up by Sangbong Station. Line 7 just south of Tearung. If you are interested, go to Sangbong Station, exit 2, walk straight, pass Cotsco, keep walking, you will go through an intersection, if you look to your right you will see emart, don't go up that street, keep walking strait. about 50 feet from that intersection you will see a liquor store with tons of tasty flavors. I don't think they had the Polish one you are talking about, but I know they are Stolichnaya or Moskovaya. Both good Vodkas.

They also have an assortment of CC and many others scotches or Whiskeys. If that is too far for you, go to Namdaemun market, and in some of the basement shops, you are certain to find booze retailers selling something of interest. Namdaemun probably has a better selection than the Sangbong Shop.

Just go to Costco. Absolute is around 20K/bottle. Pretty cheap for Korea.

Costco doesn't have CC or a lot of other good liquors. The deal on the Absolut's ok, but this poster wants something better than that.

Never tried a premium vodka myself, wonder what it's like.

Dude, if you think CC is 'premium', then you have years of excellent experimentation ahead of you!

yeah i know it's not...but i prefer it to JD and as i'm not a big fan of scotch in general (which seems to be all the rage in korea), it's my drink.

Go to COSTCO. They sell huge bottle of Kirkland (Grey Goose) Vodka for 60K; I believe it's close to 2 litres.
How do I know it's Grey Goose? I like Grey Goose and have had my fair share of it. One day I broke down and paid the 60K at COSTCO and when I tried the vodka it was identical to Grey Goose.

You could also go to Namdaemun and easily find Chopin, and a few other premium vodkas for around 40K, but no Goose last time I checked.

If you're still not sure what to buy, this should help.
