Hi everyone,
My husband and I taught in Changwon for three years and then came back to Canada. We have been back in Canada for two years, but are now wanting to return to South Korea. We would like to teach in Changwon again, so we were wondering if anyone knows of any good schools looking for two teachers, starting sometime in January. We were hoping to return to our old school, but unfortunately, they can't take both of us at the present time.
Thanks in advance!! |

Thank you BK for your post. I am sorry I can't pm you, as I only joined this forum recently. Unfortunately, June is very far away, but I do appreciate you taking the time to let me know and if nothing comes to us before then, I'll definitely contact you. Thanks again!!
Sojourner1, I also appreciate your post. It is too bad your position has been filled. Thank you for the recruiter recommendation. I'll check out their website. We would prefer to find a job without a recruiter if possible, but it is good to know about reputable ones just in case. Good luck on your next adventure! |

Thank you E for your post. We really appreciate the recommendation. We are a little concerned though, as we have read your poll post. We are very sorry you are going through such a terrible time. We realize the school is to blame, but we can't help thinking that if the school is so bad, why is this great recruiter working with them?
We know you have not named the school, but since we want to work in Changwon, we were hoping you might, so that we can steer clear of it.
Do take care and best of luck with your situation. |

Don't know why they removed the post with the recruiter's name. But I did not get my job from a recruiter. The director contacted me directly.

Your post was not removed, Ellie, as you pm'd me the recruiter's information. I am happy to know the recruiter did not put you in touch with the school you are at now. Sorry for the assumption!
Take care!! |

Thank you SS for your post. I am sorry about the delay, but the holidays kept me very busy. It sounds like you are doing very well and are very lucky with regards to your working conditions. The offer is very tempting, but for the moment we are still very set on returning to Changwon, as we know and like the city very much and have many friends there. Again, I do appreciate you taking the time to let me know and if we change our minds about Changwon, I'll definitely contact you for that e-mail. |

We really appreciate you looking out for us, Ellie!! Thank you so much for giving us the information we requested. It will come in handy as we continue our search. I am sorry I could not thank you sooner, but these past two weeks have just flown by!
Also, we contacted the recruiter you recommended and he is looking into possibilities for us. He seems very nice and accommodating. Thank you again.
We hope you are doing well-our fingers are crossed for you! |

Hi Ellie,
I was hoping you could give me some advice on how to handle a situation. J.K. interviewed two schools in Changwon for us and one was your old one. The other school had split shifts and J knew we didn't want split shifts, so he said your old one would be better for us. We are of course going to turn down the job (and the other one), but we don't know what we should say. We can just keep it simple and say another teacher we know had a problem with the school, so we are not interested or we could say it was you specifically and that he should talk to you if he wants more information. We won't single you out obviously, if you don't want us to, but since you recommended J to us and you think highly of him, we thought you might want to warm him about the school, so he doesn't associate himself with it and its bad reputation. Please let us know what you would like us to do.
Thank you
P.S. Congratulations on your new job!! |

Thank you for the pm, just because. I know you are a very good source on Changwon and that is why, when I first started this thread, I was especially hoping to receive a reply from you. It has taken a little longer than I had hoped for, but thank you nevertheless.
I appreciate your offer, but because I just started posting recently, I cannot pm yet. If possible, could you pm me with another way to reach you?
I also appreciate your tip. I'll keep that in mind.
Thanks again for your message and I hope to be in contact with you again. |
