Does anybody know anything about Win Education?

I am thinking about working for them. They run English after school programs at public elementary schools in Seoul.

Any information will be of a great value.

Thank you.

I can not comment on the jobs they offer. But I have had an interview with them 2 times, and they have acted quite unprofessionally to me both times.

I tried to ask them some questions about a position but they refused to do it on the phone (after interviewing me months ago). I had to go to their office to get the information.

Others have had complaints about them too.

To Whom it may concern
Dont work for WIN Education as the chairman is a crook
1 They open a bank account in your name secretly
2 They dont pay the bonuses for extra students
3 they try to stiff you out of your flight money
4 The chairman gets violent with teachers who close the secret account and he has to wait for the teachers to pay him .
5 There have been teachers what took money off the company what was rightfully theirs
1 teacher 16 million won
2 teacher took 20 million won

6 The teachers who get housing the company gets a copy of the key and go through your things when you at work .
Over all there a FUCKED UP COMPANY TO WORK FOR . THERE ARE ABOUT 20 PAGES OF COMPLAINTS ABOPUT THIS COMPANY !

Well GUnny, why is the money rightfully the teachers'? If you sign a contract for XXXX won a month, and the company makes money, then good for them. That's the nature of business.

How can someone open a bank account in your name? Sounds like the bank is blundering up.

16 and 20 million are rightfully theirs? Was their pay withheld for like half a year?

To make it more clearer the company makes a name stamp in your name and uses that to open an account with finebank( the chairman used to be a manager of finebank for 20 years and still has contacts )
Remember one thing korean law their is no third party involved and the school must pay the teacher directly .

For the teachers with that kind of money I will explain
Teacher had a deposit of 10million won for housing , when his lease finished that money went to him and plus one months salary on top of that.

Teacher 2 was a different an a unique situation at where the teacher closed the secret bank account for a few months and the chairman was going to the school and threatening the teacher and his wife (this teacher wrote a newspaper article about this and was posted in the Korean times)
The teacher threatened the school if they did not pay his salary he would take them to the labor board and report them to different authorities . The school got scared and payed him 3 months wages on top of that .
That teacher left Seoul and worked in the country but he had to change his number as the chairman of the company was ringing him about the money from 7 am to 1am .
Look if you dont believe me , work for them and find out for yourself .

If some idiot opens a bank account with my private information without my permission and deposits that kinda money into the account to use it to do any illegal activity, the money would rightfully be mine.

If they ask for the money, I'd tell them to go to hell.

I think I'll apply. Razz

They're looking for someone now, and they're pretty desperate. Give it a go if you really want.

They offered me 2.7 a few weeks back. Now they're offering 2.9. Getting desperate.....

My guess is that they'll hire someone for 2.9 and then get rid of them later in favour of someone cheaper.

Oh wow WIN Education popped up again? I made a post about them a while back, maybe a few weeks ago? Anyways I remember Ilsanman also posted in that thread. My issue was with how they made the name stamp with my name without my permission/knowledge. But anyways if you want to see the details of the post go ahead and search it up, i'm sure it must still be there. The funny thing is that after I refused to work for them and broke their contract because of the name stamp fiasco, they called me a week later and wanted me to substitute for 1 week for 120,000 won a day. They said they had a new teacher who couldn't start on-time and needed me to substitute until he could start. Well anyways I saw on worknplay that they were advertising for 150,000 a day for a substitute for the Songnae/bucheon position, and told them I might do it for that. Ended up their new teacher backed out also. Anyways, if you want to see the details of why i had problems with them go search out the post. It's labeled something like "Beware of Win Education" or something like that.

Yeah, the 'new teacher' was me. We had an interview, and there was a small scheduling conflict, so we agreed to get back to each other. But more or less, I had agreed to do it and they had agreed to hire me.

Basically, they needed someone to work for me for 1 week (election week) and then I'd be starting on the first week of next year. But then they started advertising the job again, so I sent them an angry e-mail, asking why they're advertising a job that I wanted. I guess that was their way of telling me to F off.

Then...here comes the funny part...Daniel called me on the weekend and asked me to find him a teacher. He said 'so sorry you couldn't work with us', and then asked, so I said okay, then sent him a fake mail saying how 'my friend' doesn't want the job b/c he read on the net that your company has been doing illegal business. No reply.

I'm currently working for them..

I'm not trying to stick up for them or anything, but they've been

pretty good to me. They moved me into a new house cos I wasn't

happy with my last place (I originally chose it), some other teachers

I met had been with them for several years.

I'm going on one year and have had no problems.
