I left Korea per order of immigration in late September; I had overstayed my visa and was ordered to leave without a fine being assessed. In my two year stint there I had three employers, two of whom got rid of me in the eleventh month. The third after Immigration ordered me to depart.
Prior to starting with my second employer my boss was reluctant to employ me as my first employer had given me a poor reccomendation to an immigration office. However she did employ me. And fire me in the eleventh month.
I am curious. I'm looking for a job in another part of Korea and am afraid that my dubious past as an instructor may present difficulty. Do you think I'll have difficulty with immigration?
On a second note: I've been in touch with a few recruiters who are telling me that due to a tight job market, most available positions are only paying 1.8 million won. Should I believe these people? Should I hold out for more?
Thank You, |

All I'll say is that with no experience I'm making more than that.
