OK, I'm probably going to have some mistakes here, so please let me know if I've screwed up my grammar or there is a better, more natural way to express things. Also, feel free to add other expressions that could be useful.

'Please give me a receipt' 영수증 주세요. YeongSooJung JooSeYo

'I'm just looking' 그냥 구경하고 있어요 KuNyang GooGyeongHaGoIseoYo

'You don't need to follow me' 저를 따라오지 않으면 되요 JeoRul DaRaOJi AnUMyeon Dayo.

'I don't need a (plastic) bag' (비닐) 벙투가 필요없어요 BiNil BeongTuGa PilYoEobSeoYo.

Man, I really really hate writing Korean words in English.

Then don't do it! If people are serious about learning Korean, they'll be able to read your Korean writing anyway.

I applaud you for a well-intentioned thread. Also some people sometimes start a thread asking one or two questions about Korean and then the thread disappears. Personally I think there should be one centralized thread or even a sticky where people can ask all their questions about:

How do you say X in Korean?
What is this Korean in English?

How about it The Dude? Has this been tried before?

Also can anyone provide a link to a site that shows how to 100% ACCURATELY translate Korean names in English? I've seen one but it is not very reliable.

No 100% accuracy possible. There are some old name-spelling conventions that override newer spelling rules plus sometimes it calls for a bit of sensitivity in balancing accurate transcription with how nonKoreans might mangle the pronunciation.

Its more of an art than a science.

Dont impose english spellings of Korean names on students unless you know what youre doing. Some terrible romanizations get affixed to passports forever.

Good thread. Thanks Stevie. I covered the English on the screen and only got about 80%. Embarassed

I've been here too long for that. Gotta hit the books again (my wife only speaks English to me even though I ask her to use only Korean. I guess she likes it, or she just finds it more expedient because I'm a knuckle-dragger.)
