It's four in the morning on Wednesday for most of you; middle of the day for me on x-mas day, 2007.
Why oh why do I always get so nostalgic for Korea when I'm moderately to heavily buzzed?
You stiffs have it so good living in the dynamic hub of Asia, in the land of the morning calm.
This middle America 5h!t is ridiculous. |

I swear, the only reason I survive is because I married a dude I met in Korea. He gets it. If I had to be w/ some douche who had never been to Korea, it would never work.
Thank god for Asia! Korea specifically!
If you guys think you won't miss it when you go back home, you're wrong! |

bucheon bum, it's hell!
I work at a bank and it's ridiculously tedious to talk to people who have never spent any significant time out of the county.
Ack! Depression threatens to close in on me!!
Why am I here and not teaching in Seoul?! |

I am up still, because I went to bed yesterday afternoon and got up like at 9PM. I flipped over to Central US time temporarily since I needed to be on the phone for 3 hours of the last 5 hours due to it being Christmas day at home. Yep, it's 5:22 AM Korea time, December 26th and only 2:22 PM central US time where it's still Christmas day and everyone are together eating great food and talking about it all. They are probably talking about how strange it is for me to be away from home so much of my life. I not only am not only away to teach in Korea, but I spent several years away from home in the military, though we foreigners celebrated real holidays with each other with camaraderie in the army.
Here in Korea, you're on your own, no real organized foreigner holiday get togethers that I knew of. Absolutely no camaraderie of any sort has been the number one disappointing thing for me living in Korea besides Korean business management style. |

Well maybe the money is better at least? What about moving to a more lively part of the US? |

Her husband is an agoraphobic gun nut. He'd never go for it. |

Well its true. People who have never spent any significant time outside of their home countries are generally boring in the extreme.
Can't we have some scheme whereby all people are forced to spend a year living in a foreign country? maybe before they take their A-levels or something.Otherwise they just become like clones eventually. |
