if you're interested i could ask some of my 15 -16 year old students if they want to play with you..... i think thats your best bet |
I did that... I thought I was going to whoop them. I've been playing Starcraft for about six months (since I came to Korea).
Anyway, they slaughtered me. I had 15 Protoss battlecruisers taking out one of their bases thinking "a-ha, what are you going to do about this one?" only to be completely destroyed two minutes later by about thirty Terran battle cruisers with Yamoto cannons, about 40 infantry, and a couple dozen siege tanks by one player, and what seemed to be hundreds of zerglings by the other player simultaniously.
Never underestimate the power of young Koreans and Starcraft-euuuu. |

They're called carriers. And-yeah some of them could probably kick my ass too. Anyway I should probably wait till I get my own computer as it would be to hard to keep track of others from random pc 방 computers. Thanks for your suggestions anyway, back to getting my beats on b-net.. |

My guess is that the top 100 Starcraft players in the world are Korean. I mean, what other country has a 24-hour Starcraft channel and corporate sponsorship of "pro-gamers?"
I play a couple of times a week, and have gotten to the point that I can win about 1/6 on Battlenet. I only play Zerg.
If you stay away from the standard maps you have a better chance of playing newbies. Hunters, Lost Temple, etc., are played by experts.
I've only recently started using the "Save Replay" option. It can be somewhat helpful, if you really want to get better. |

Count me in. When that game first came out, I played it FAR too much than study. I kept playing it for nearly 7 years. I honestly think the game was before it's time & still is a fantastic RTS game to play.

you can check out teamliquid.net to see how hardcore some of the europeans and north americans are about the game.
some of them stay up late just to watch live games through gomplayer.
(personally can't play the game for nuts, but really enjoy it as a spectator sport/game). |
