My contract ends on March 18th, and my passport expires on March 18th: perfect timing, but how does that affect anything for my return flight? My home country (USA) isn't going to require me to have 6 months validity to return, is it?

I mean I'm sure I'll be able to leave a day or two early, but I'm just checking to see if there is anything specifically mentioned about this anywhere.

Your home country wont demand extra validity.

But it poses an interesting hypothetical. I wonder what would happen if your last-minute flight got cancelled, or diverted to another country & delayed a couple days because of weather? (Thats happened to me.)

Why not get a new passport? You have time.

True: that's probably the easist/safest route. I don't want to test any hypotheticals...
