I have been looking for a job in Busan because Seoul seems too populated and polluted. However, I realize this may be the case with Pusan as well.

My partner and I want to live in a location where we have access to western goods/food/etc. We would like to be surrounded by other foreigners and aren't looking for an authentic or traditional Korean living experience. We would like to live in a metropolitan area and in a climate with the most moderate weather (little snow).

Any suggestions on location? Would Busan be the best place? Also, does anyone know any good sites for jobs in the Busan area?

Thank you for your help!

Busan. If you want a ton of foreigners around to hang out with every night, I would suggest Haeundae New Town. If you live in this area, you are pretty much guranteed to be living in a new (less than 5 years old ) building, which is also nice. PNU also has a ton of foreigners, but its an older part of town. I lived in New Town for 7 months. Its a good place to live and its close to two beaches, as well as a Thai place, and indian place, TGIF, Bennigans, Outback, and a taco stand. Oh and a new Quiznos.

Seoul isn't too polluted. It never bothers me, but it does some people. Seoul is more fun than Busan. All Seoul needs is an ocean. Though Busan is big, the western-friendly scene and foreign restaurant scene just doesn't compare to Seoul. Don't get me wrong, you'd be happy in either city. I prefer the big city nights over the nights on the beach.

I would choose seoul if I was you because you may get stuck in the wood works if you are not given a job in the very downtown district of Busan.

Haeundae meets your needs. Winds from the ocean keep the air nice there, not trapped pollution like it is an hour away in the middle of Busan.

Changwon perhaps, with active foreigners but not so many of them.

If you want to be surrounded by foreigners then only Itaewon, Seoul would do it.

Some suggestions: Baltimore, Perth, Jo'burg, or maybe Christchurch.
