I just want to forget about this deal. You can choose to deal with the guy, or not.

I told this guy when I sold him the laptop I only used it for internet and movies and never had a problem with it. Besides that I told him I do not know much about computers. When we met up he looked at it and was satisfied with it and paid me. How do I know he did not drop it on the way home. The ports always worked for me. When you buy something used you buy it as is....sorry that is just the way it goes.

The odds of dropping it and the usb ports breaking and nothing else are a million to one.

Gotta agree with the buyer on this one. You should take it back or give him some sort of discount if you're an honest person.

so noooooow he has something to say about it Razz and he has got to be kidding me about dropping it? like wtf dude. you don't know anything about comps but you have yanked out a ram module. When you deal in an open forum, you SELL as an honest person. If I wanted a broken laptop, I would have went and tried my luck at dongdaemun. My guess is that you knew that the ports were faulty. You said yourself you used a webcam with this laptop. My guess is that when the webcam stopped working with the laptop, you tried it on a friend's comp and it worked. So, you got yourself another rig, and offloaded this one on me. I mean, come on man. At least be honest about it before you sell.

Did you test the USB ports before you bought it. Did you ask any questions as to their state?

He did not ask about them...he even started the comp up with me and said everything looked fine to him. Last time I used them they worked, I really do not know why they dont for him.

I will never believe the guy didn't know about the ports. He only responded to this issue once it was in a public forum. I emailed him twice about it, and I know he read the emails shortly after, and chose to ignore me all together. Even if you didn't know about the ports, which I find hard to believe, the least you could have done was email me a reply. At this point, I am cutting my losses, and forgetting about this. The people reading here can chose to deal with the seller, or not.
