Are you doing that out of anger, or is that a kind of ceremonial rite when selling a breadmaker in your home country?

I'm not sure if you're being humorous or insulting. I didn't realize that this site is for native speakers of English. Sorry for the wrong term being used..I'm not a speaker of English and obtain only primary education.
But I do mean to give away the yeast since it won't be of use to me. If the buyer won't accept it, fine by me.

Hehe, I would also share the point of bassexpander, when I read your call to "throw away" I really was picturing you throwing the bag of yeast to the road right from your kitchen window.
