August Rush - very good, as expected
American Gangster - much better acting and pace as a police procedural than Zodiac
I am Legend - a pleasant surprise! transcends the zombie genre, great acting role

and

Guns of Navarone - classic war drama still has kick: Peck, Niven, Quinn... can't go wrong!

I just watched "Already Dead." Kind of a "B" movie, but not too bad.

saw National Treasure: Book of Secrets tonite... digged that historically cultural Americana (yet a tad histronic at times) thingy going on in the plot development and setting...also loved the labyrinthical, adventurous quest the sagacious yet at times whimsical protagonist and his supporting cronies embarked upon... Cool

Diane stole the camera eye and my heart...

I saw that National Treasure sequel a week ago and thought it alright but wholly forgettable, a copy of the first film in many ways.

As for Diane, she looks like a snake.

And I was put off a bit by her character in this movie. Definitely cold blooded. No warmth. Better sparks with Cage in the first film.

Also, I have it on good authority (a friend who met her gynaecologist in Queensland) that Nicole Kidman is a hermaphrodite and has no uterus.

I wonder if it's the same gynecologist who confirmed her pregnancy. Guess they've put the no uterus rumor to bed.

I saw "National Treasure: Book of Secrets" a few days ago. It was pretty awful, but that's what I expected and I wanted my husband to enjoy seeing the movie on the big screen.

I was embarrassed for Jon Voight. He spent almost the entire movie shrinking away from and acting like a wimp around the Helen Mirren character. Her wonderful acting skills were wasted as any older actress could have played that part.

I agree with the other poster that Diane is stunning. She's not a good actress but she has a truly beautiful face.

Nicolas Cage looked awful to me. It seems he's really lost his looks. I never thought he had classic good looks but he had that certain something going for him. Maybe his 22-year-old wife is wearing him out.

Michael Clayton - surprisingly good. Why did noone see this?

Charlie Wilson's War - also good.

No Country for Old Men - wow! Kept me rivited.

Young Frankenstein - nice to see comedy classics every so often.

August Rush
Saw it in theaters. I cried at the end. I'm very ashamed of myself Embarassed There goes my street cred.

American Gangster

Also saw it in theaters. However, I saw it previously on DVDS a month ago. I feel like I've seen this gangster movie before. Don't get me wrong it was still good, but give me something different.

Golden Compass

The third movie I saw in theaters this week. It was alright; but doesn't compare to the movies I enjoyed as a kid like Labrynth, Dark Crystal, or Goonies!

3:10 to Yuma

Saw this at home. Decent cowboy movie with some good acting. although Unforgiven was much better.

The Verdict was pretty good. Remember seeing that one in the theater. When? 1981/2 or something? Maybe I'll see if I can download that one tonight.

Saw King of California yesterday or the day before. Michael Douglas and Evan Rachel Wood. Alright. Killed time.

Recently watched Christine (King) and Crossroads (Ralph Machio).
