THERE ARE NO NEW RULES!!!!!!!!!

This is GREAT NEWS!!!!! My buddy just called me and forwarded me this email he got from Wenise at GPOE.

He is going home soon and asked her if he needed to prepare anything for his contract renewal (at the same school) coming up at the end of March.

This is the email:

Quote:
There's no change in terms of RENEWING your visa
No criminal No health necessary for you.

These are what you'll need ;
- New contract
- Passport & Alien Reg. Card
-Certificate of Business from your school
-Certificate of sponsorship from your school
-Visa application fee & application form for extension of E2 visa (found at immigratin office)

For those who are working under GEPIK (not hired direct by school or hagwons), there will be absolutely no changes applicable.

New rules apply to those NEW prospective applicants.
Additional requirements for health & criminal apply to those working for hagwons and schools hired directly without GPOE's involvement.

Hope this helps.

Season's Greetings

Warmly,

Wenise Kim

He chatted on GMail with her for a bit he said. She said it took a bit to get things sorted, so they haven't 'officially' announced it yet.

So, this is ONLY for people that GEPIK/GPOE hired!!! Not for people that the schools hired directly or via recruiters and whatnot.

The health check that was submitted when first applying to GEPIK is also not need. NOTHING HAS CHANGED for those hired by GPOE. The whole thing about the 'grace period' until March 15th is irrelevant for those hired by GPOE. It just the same as it always has been.

I have no idea about anyone else. My buddy said nothing about it, and Wenise probably doesn't know anyways as it doesn't concern her.

I'm so happy to hear this....saves a potential trip home when I dont need to go home, saves time, effort, money. I don't know anything other than this, but it couldn't be any clearer!!!! NO CHANGES FOR GEPIK RENEWALS!!!

Off to EMart to the beverage section to treat myself.....

I'm still rather skeptical. It wouldn't be the first time that Wenise or Dain has said one thing only to do a complete 180.
