hey,
i recently updated the system on my ps3 and up popped an icon for megatv on the desktop. i think it's some sort of tv download service. monthly subscription perhaps. has anybody signed up to it? is it any good? it would be cool to watch some good movies and tv in high-def.

Yeah, that's what it is. My PS3 isn't Korean, so I don't get it (Japan model). I'll get whatever Japan comes out with soon.

I have this too. I played around with it but wasn't really sure what it was.

From what I understand(not a lot), megaTV is a KT product/service. We just got it from them today free-of-charge for three months* for our home tv on a trial basis. I'll be checking it out a bit over the next couple of days. All that I know so far is that it's some kind of internet tv service. I'm sure there'll be no kind of hockey offered, so it'll be sure to not impress me, but i'll give an update if it impresses me(not likely).

*Make sure you find out whether you're paying extra for it, especially if it turns out to be crap.

I was wondering about this. Do you need to actually subscribe to hook this up? I can log on and see that some programs are free and some you have to pay for. But when I try watching a free program, an advertisement just plays.

I think I would like to try it on a trial basis (if I do have to subscribe) and was wondering how people are liking it.

From quickly browsing it, it just seems like a bunch of Korean dramas but some decent HD movies thrown in. It's kind of like HanaTV which my girlfriend has (VOD).
