Where is good to travel in the region between public school contracts, for about 2.5 / 3 weeks?
It seems as if South-east asia is a no go considering the likelihood of rain and even floods (according to lonely planet and wiki: is this true???).
So where is a sensible destination to go during this time? |

Should I head to China before or after the Olympics?
And why are flights from Seoul to Beijing the same price as the US West Coast to Seoul? |

Go before. I expect a price hike for the Olympics and maybe some prices to not come down for a while.
flights should not be so high in the summer, only on Korean holidays. Could take boat to BJ. BJ will be really hot in the summer. |

anyone here going to beijing during the summer? it would be good to soak up the atmosphere no doubt. But how are things like travel, accommodation going to be like during that time?
I was thinking of going for about a week and then to Shanghai for about a week after that. |
