I have had absolutely no luck trying to explain to school officials why I might not be able to renew under the new E-2 rules, and why I need help trying to figure out what those rules are. And that's just the latest.

After a while, your brain just freezes up, perhaps because your body, in particular your hands, want to take over.

So perhaps you can help me describe the predicament to people back home by completing this sentence:

Trying to reason with a Korean official is like ___________________________________________.

Your turn!

This one got you stumped?

Here's what I've come up with:

Trying to reason with a Korean official is like trying to persuade a Republican to support the right to an abortion.

Maybe you can do better.
