I was thinking the same thing CP, but I wouldn't underestimate Clinton. She will come back fighting. Hopefully Obama gets the bounce and wins NH, but he needs to place at least 1st or 2nd. If Clinton comes in 3rd in Iowa, then she'll be hurting and NH will be pretty important.

Amazing. I mean amazing that it's still out there that even Edwards might get ahead of Clinton for a 2nd place after Obama.

Edwards is pulling second with 97% of precincts reporting. The question is really can Clinton explain away third, since it's really more of a tie for second. Edwards is only ahead by 11 delegates which is a minute majority.

Obama's up to 38%. It will be interesting to see if some of Edwards' and Clinton's delegates jump over to Obama's side if he's the clear leader in March.

And thank god for Huckabee. I thought about changing his nickname from Huckster to Schmuckabee, but I think it's more apropos to call his supporters schmuckabees, as he has zero chance for winning if the US isn't so far gone it's not worth saving.

People are calling Obama "the winner." But I see Obama carrying 16 delegates, Hillary carrying 15, and Edwards 14.

Is there truly a clear-cut winner here...?

Actually at the county and state caucus the delegates can change which candidate they support. I could leave Obama and caucus with Hillary and vice versa. The final convention delegate number won't be decided until this summer.

Clinton will spin that Bill was also never strong in Iowa and still went on to win it all. And also that they are confident in the national numbers and that the Iowa thing won't matter much on the whole. Or basically say the same thing that Mitt said after losing Iowa.

But lord knows that they were not expecting 3rd and to be that far behind Obama. She has to hope that McCain sucks in more independents (who can vote for either primary in NH) than Obama in NH and she sqweaks out a win there.

The big variable for Hil right now is how Bill is going to play this. He's obviously ripping into Mark Penn and is likely trying to run the show to preserve his legacy. Bubba can sink this or possibly still seal this.

1st Obama
2nd Edwards
3rd Clinton

Gravel, Biden and Dodd are out.

That leaves Obama, Edwards, Clinton and Richardson on the D side.

I think Kucinch will drop out soon as well. He might stick around until NH though.
