I predict Romney will stumble.

Obama will prevail.

Chris Dodd and Joe Biden (the most qualified man in America) are dropping from the race.

Who else falls before NH?

As I said in the other thread Kucinch and Gravel will drop out. Hunter will drop out on the R side. I think Thompson will make it through NH and then do so poorly that he'll drop out.

Edwards has until NC and he will drop out do to a poor showing.

After that it's going to be down to Clinton/Obama on the D side

The R side will remain wide open for awhile between Romney/Huckabee/McCain. It really depends on how the place in NH as to whether one of them will drop out.

It's going to be interesting in NH. I'd put NH more into Clinton territory. So it'll be interesting if she loses NH as well. Most polls were putting Iowa into a 3-way tie before, and NH seems to consistently be Clinton territory. It'll be interesting to see how the Obama win in Iowa effects those polling numbers though.

For Republicans, I don't think NH has anywhere near the religious conservative voters that Iowa does. I'm thinking it might go to McCain or Romney here. McCain seems to resonate well with New Englanders, and Romney is a governor up in that corner as well - Massachusetts.

It will be a three way race out of NH for the dems. All three will still be in it. I think Clinton's support is going to die and it will between Edwards and Obama. With Obama taking it in the end. With Oprah becoming his VP. Can that happen?

Romney support will drop off after NH with McCain and Huckabee allying against him. McCain, Huckabee and Giuliani are the only serious contenders now. Fox News, Rush Limbaugh and other conservative radios stations will rally around Giuliani, but Huck and McCain will stage the upset. With Huck going on to be the President while McCain becoming the VP.

Gravel also appears to now have dropped out. When will Richardson drop out?

A better VP joice for Obama would be Joe Biden or Colin Powell.

I think Richardson will drop out eventually and support Clinton.

Biden for SecDef or SecState would be the more natural selection, given his tenure as Chairman of the Senate's Committee on Foreign Relations. He's a career politician and Obama is about fresh change, so Biden's image as VP would contrast too much with Obama's platform. I'd say Edwards or Wes Clark for VP.

Edwards won't run for VP again. I think he's in it either to win or nothing. Clark supports Clinton, so I do think he'd run with Obama. Biden as SoD is a possiblity.

Of course, this is really early on still. I'm HOPEFUL!

If that doesn't tell you who I support, I don't know what could.

Rush is behind Giuliani. Makes sense, sort of.

Would be interesting to see how Rush approaches Huckabee. Does he like him? Does he say bad things about him? I'd imagine he'd have to toe the Republican line and go with whatever popular Republican propoganda is out there for their 'man'.

I can't help but think this is great news for Richardson - that three others dropped out. He'll get some recognition now. Just for his own publicity, I'd think it would be better if he stuck around through Nevada anyways.

Hmm...Nevada with its large recent Hispanic population. I'm gonna guess he's going to stick it out through Nevada - January 19.

TB, you might be right since he is a Western state governor that he'll stick around for a couple more weeks until Nevada. I have no doubt though he'll end up endorsing Clinton.

It will be interesting to see if any of the group that drop out endorse someone or if they sit on the on the sideline for the next few months.

If Obama wins, Clark is not going to turn down an offer for VP in Nov, at a time when the entire democratic party has rallied around their nominee, on the grounds that he supported Hil for awhile back in January. Even all losing candidates will be rallying around the nominee, at that time. There are no signs of sore losers anywhere when it comes to rallying around the nominee and doing whatever it takes to beat the other party in national elections.

Kucinich has already shown his support for Obama and there was buzz last night about Richardson's and Obama's camp getting chummy:

CP, I hope you are right. Clark would give support to Obama as someone who is experience in the military. Then again if we are talking about people who support (or guessing who supports her) you could make the same case for Richardson who has been governor and a diplomat.
