Hey, everyone!

I have some time in March free (which I'm beginning to realize is a miracle since it's the beginning of the school year). Should I stay in Korea and take hiking trips at that time of year, or should I run to Thailand or another nearby country?

I'm not at all a nightclub person, but I enjoy culture/architecture/outdoors sort of things. I do eventually want to go to Thailand...and, well..along with all the other countries around here, but I'll have the week off after a week in New York. Living in Seoul and really being a country girl, I just sort of want to hit something a little slower paced.

And... Korea for Dummies like Me... I've looked and STILL haven't been able to figure out HOW to get to the national parks. Are their buses/trains/random teleportation abilities? I guess my brain's still on overload from all the other information I've been receiving, it isn't comprehending travel.

Thanks in advance!

Thailand is such an over-rated place. And it is sad to say that. Been there 3 times and it is always spoilt because of all the s*x tourism, brothels and having to look at pale skinned western men hunting for flesh everywhere you go.

Go to Malaysia/Sabah, Brunei, Hainan/Haikou island, Japan or Vladivostok instead. You'll have a more pleasant and rewarding time.

Don't you have a Lonely Planet Korea? They give pretty detailed information about getting to/hiking the National Parks.

ahh WHAT!?

Phuket is paradise. Just stay away from Patong , which really isn't that bad save for the one street running to the beach at night.
