Canada-U.S.A. will meet in the Medal Round.

Too bad that both sides do not have their best players, eh?

May the better team win.

being a little presumptuous.. Canada still has to beat Finland to play the Americans.. way we're playing hard to tell.. the team is made of young guys.. we'll see.. they'll have to dig really deep to win gold in my mind..

the game is on friday night starting at midnight. does anyone know where they play the games on tv on a big screen, possibly in itaewon, possibly rocky mountain tavern? i just thought it would be great to watch the game with a bunch of other fellow canadians to cheer on our team as we go for yet another gold.

i did check tsn after the game last night and at that time they said it was on at 10 am so they must have changed it to get more viewers back home. (canada is the only country that watches it) thanks for the update. it kind of sucks that they changed the time and put the russian game on when the canada game was originally going to be on.

I don't understand how putting it in prob would be mid morning for the rest of Canada (prairie provinces) would get more viewers? Beer o'clock will be showing the game on Saturday at 8 pm..

Suppose you'd rather not have Americans tag along to ruin the atmosphere of Canada uber alles....

Playing badly? Not at all. No shame to lose to Sweden, a great team.

It's justice for Canada. They get another shot to make up for their loss.

While I agree that there is no shame in losing to Sweden, they really didn't play well in that game, especially when they let in 3 goals in a really short time. However, they played very well against the USA this morning and it was an exciting game. BUT, now I am too tired to do anything, haha.

Canada wins 3-2 in overtime after blowing another 2-0 lead in the third with the Swedes tying it with their goaltender pulled in the last minute of the 3rd period.

4 Gold in a row, and counting....

edit Matt Halischuk scored the winner at 3:36 in overtime.

What a great game. The last 3 gold medal wins over the Russians have been blowouts. This is the first time Canada has won Gold in overtime.

The Gold medal game for next year's tournament in Ottawa is already sold out!

Nobody wants it more than us.

Great game by a young team. We could have up to 10 returning players for next year. Swedes should have a lot of returning players too. It's gonna be crazy in Ottawa next year!
