Mine started today. I'm doing my own English village-type plan. 2 different lessons per day for 3 45-minute periods in the morning and afternoon.
My co-teacher had me write a book which is fine and dandy by me. I'll use it in the future.
If there's any extra time, we do an activity. Friday will be our game day, with Golden Bell and relay races, make sandwiches and have snacks.
It's nice that I don't have to teach the same kids for the 6 hours per day, 2-week duration. |

not bad, actually! i'm doing mine in a regular classroom at my school, 4 hours a day with the same kids for 2 weeks... then i'll do it all again for another 2 weeks...
i was surprised... the kids actually want to be there (compared to the usual classroom) and my lesson plan went fairly smoothly... i spent a couple of days planning, but nothing major... i kind of miss having a co-teacher for those 'please translate' situations, but having the class all to myself is fun, too... i like having a smaller class and i can see that many of the students (especially the girls) like the atmosphere better without so many clowns in the class... |

Yeah, mine went pretty smoothly today. Not like last camp, which started a nightmare and was difficult to turn around. It made a better teacher though.
Preperation was a only about 5-10 hours, but I will add other small bits the days before a certain theme day.
Today was 3rd & 4th grade, and we just made coloured paper chains to decorate the classroom in more festive attire.
Tomorrow we are going to make some Happy New Year cards, probably along the lines of pop-up mice (as this is the year of the mouse). Got glitter glue and stuff too, so should a good day.
I do 2 classes with each grade, prepare for next day and then go home. Today I was home at 2, the VP is good and the principal is not in these days. |

Mine started off terribly. My laptop was connected to the TV, but it wouldn't display anything. One of the Korean teachers came and was messing around with the display manager, even though my computer is English XP. After this point the laptop wouldn't connect anymore and we were checking all the cables, going back into the display manager, etc. The TV would display my desktop background but nothing else. I finally undid what the Korean teacher messed up and got the TV to show everything correctly, 30 minutes after class started. Normally I would have just started a different activity, but all of the activities today were dependent on the computer. After that everything was OK. Only 9 more days |

It's going well, i did one last week and i have another one this week. 2 hour long classes, twice a day...activity, game, repeat...and like others said, the classes are much smaller and the kids want to be there. Cool beans. |
