Daegu, and my car in particular, seemed to be covered in a hazy, yellowish dust. I know last year's dust was particularly bad, but could it already be starting?

I can't see all of that sparkle anymore. Wink

*shrug*

air is clean and blue where I am, hours away from there

I heard back in 2002 before i came to Korea that Daegu is renowned for its bad air, gets trapped like in a bowl, never been great

worse than in past Januarys? maybe the burgeoning of Chinese industries is escalating the air pollution problems

Last year I think I was blown away when it started in February (maybe it was March)... looks like we're getting worse every year.

Once day last week, the Yellow Dust charts online reported a high number. It was yellow dust.

I hear it gets pretty bad in Seoul. I'm not looking forward to Yellow Dust season!

Hmm. Now I'm wondering if that was frost I saw on the cars or yellow dust. One thing for sure, after being here for 3 years I'm beginning to see that the best weather in Korea is October to January (maybe Februrary). Then the crappy rain, yellow dust, hazy skies, heat, mosquitoes, rain...

Some parts of spring might not be too bad.
