He was a relatively bland poster who turned out to have serious issues in real life. I don't know if I'd classify him as a "troll" ... unless we discover some day that Chris Neil created 645 online characters in addition to "Peter Jackson." |

but i don't see how that describes me any better than 'troll' does. you've got your panties in a bunch because i told you that you whine too much. i don't think i have any cultural relativist or apologist tendencies. look those words up before you start trying to make witty acronyms with them. there are a lot of relevant names you can call me that would be difficult to argue, like 'jerk' or 'a$$hole'. these are matters of opinion. but to call me a 'troll' or a 'CRAP', you might at well be calling me a portuguese refrigerator salesman. it's not insulting if there's absolutely no truth in it. |

either you or i don't understand what a troll is. my understanding is that a troll is the sort of person who says something ridiculous with the hope of watching a bunch of people argue about it as if it were written by a serious person. that person then doesn't enter the thread again, but just sits back and thinks something along the lines of 'dance, puppets, dance!' and measures his or her success by how long the thread gets and how many intelligent people he or she has duped into arguing about something stupid.
maybe you have a different idea of what a troll is. i'm interested in how i got a 'first class' rating from you. |

I think anyone -- any regular poster -- can be trollish at times, but in order to be considered a "troll"... that's a full-time job, 24/7. A troll by my definition -- the only one that counts -- can't BE untrollish, ever. Not liking a poster for being disagreeable or for pointing out your defects doesn't make them a troll. Find another, more appropriate term. |

Seconded. Actually I quite enjoy when these lame Korean trolls come about every now and then waving the 'waygook go home' flag. It's like some angry K-student broke away from the Naver flock and decided to stick it to the West in person. But, they always drown, everytime.
I can't remember the k-trolls name a while back but started saying he was in IT for 10 years and ragged the ESl community for working for peanuts because he was making 6 figures in Canada. That guy was cool. |
Yeah, he was cool for a good laugh. Can't bother remembering his name cause it just a bunch of letters strung together, like gwtrgm or grwmtg. (Or whatever it was, who cares) |
