Oh calm down crsandus... Laughing

This was one video not a representation of all weddings in Korea....

Good lord..

Nothing like this happened at our wedding nor at any of my friends weddings here....so take it easy before you condem the entire country buddy.

Take it as one of those "Koreas funniest home video" things...

Would you base your judgement of say America based on America's funniest videos?

Good point, for once, Homer.

I wonder the same thing every time I'm flipping channels and come across AFHV. Jeez...the shows they air are at least 15 years old.

Must be where they're getting their fashion tips from... Embarassed

It's not really about crass weddings. It's about the unbelievable lack of personal mannners to push the bride aside as she's walking down the aisle on the biggest day of her life.

I don't see anything unusual in the video. Afterall, the ajumma is older than the bride, so she is correct and has the right of way according to Korean culture.

In order of importance:

Groom's Mother
Groom
Buffet
Old fart doing the ceremony
Guests
Girl operating the dry ice machine
People who wander in the back for the next wedding

Nope, don't see the bride there.

The adjuma who grabbed my chicken in the supermarket. I'm still reeling in shock. The nice young K. chicken-cutter-upperer-guy asked me how I wanted the chook dressed - he did his chop, chop thing - and was handing it to me when this .... adjuma reached out and grabbed my chicken - and then took off with it. WTF

Now, that's an adjuma!

Who says I liked America? Bunch of retards we are.... Laughing

And Saget was trying for the wholesome appearance back then, even though his comedy routine would pass as anything but.

(ps, just my two cents, but I am still glad I didn't have a wedding anywhere near Korea...)

Well, I guess tacky weddings are no worse than those honeymoon tour packages some Koreans sign up for. It's an actual tour of honeymooning couples. I also knew a couple who wnt on their honeymoon with another couple. Shocked Now THAT'S tacky!!!

this innoculates me for the next half dozen times an ajumma barrels past me: i won't be able to see the disrespect as personal when thinking about that vid!

thank you

Yes it's impersonal-that's the part that is disturbing. I'd rather have some old hag try to barrell me over [good luck sister] because she's racist-to your point VI-she's just a generally worthless human being.
