|
|
Well... I have to sy, of all the demands that have been put on me and my co-teachers at my uni, the stool sample has to be the most foolish. I am not the kind of guy who likes playing around with my stool and I really don't know what in God's name it will help uiniversity officials find out.
I have two questions.
A) Is anyone else out there required to give a stool sample in your medical tests?
B) What the hell is a stool test going to provide? |

The stool sample can provide evidence of certain cancers & other illnesses. I would be somewhat wary of providing evidence of any nature medical wise. The sad reality is that anything that seems out of order can be used against you in an arbitrary manner with little recourse on your part.
I would politely refuse & state that it is grossly inappropriate to demand such a thing. If your uni demands it, then you need to decide which is more valuable, your paycheck or your personal privacy & dignity.

Asking for a stool sample does not seem worthy of a "polite" response. |

Drop a log in a jam jar, take it into school and leave it on the admins desk.
Tell them they can do with it as they please. |

Your university is really asking you to go through that? That seems a bit like overkill to me.
Taiwan requires a stool sample to be submitted as a part of the required physical for the visa. The main reason for it, I assume, is to screen for certain intestinal parasites they'd just rather not have passed on to the general population.
The problem with the health check is that Korean Immigration has NEVER specified what tests are required, other than the HIV test, TBPE and/or Cannabinoids testing. |

This is true, and one of the main reasons I'm not spending another year here.
"Tests show you have diminished lung capacity"
"I've been living in Seoul and breathing your rancid air for over half a decade."
"You obviously didn't eat enough kimchi. No visa! Sparkling!" |

There should be a medical form for you to fill out. You can take it to any doctor. Is it the school itself that has placed this requirement on the document? Insane. Try bringing in some dog shit and see what happens. |

Fyi: Taiwan Hasn't required this for over 3 years, it was removed in late 2004 as a requirement of the medical. |
