|
|
In another thread I was reading, someone posted something about Chlorella. I went to a couple of the local pharmacies and the cheapest I could find was W90,000 for a small bottle. But even crappy vitamins in this little town I live in are W30,000. Can anyone me where to get some for a reasonable price? Vitamins and maybe some Myoplex as well, maybe? Probably in Seoul, I assume. Can anyone help?

"..............Chlorella is primarily protein and amino acids, with plenty of minerals, vitamins, chlorophyll and polyunsaturated fatty acids. There is more nutritional bang for the buck in chlorella and spirulina than any food. It is not a supplement but a whole food.
Chlorella and spirulina are available in the major import markets. I recently bought a bottle of Japanese chlorella for 17000 won..........." |

Yeah, because, you know, Japan produces 'chlorophyte', which is far superior than the Korean 'green algea'. |

It actually took me a second to realize that you were not talking about cholera. |

I dont use the crap. I buy it for a couple of Korean female friends who will only use the Japanese stuff. They say its better. The Japanese stuff is surely more expensive.. |

They are wasting their money. Chlorella is taken for its high content in chlorophyll (which is believed to be an anti-oxidant (I won't get into whether there are measurable benefits in taking high doses of anti-oxidants). Whether the algae is grown in a vat in Japan or Korea won't have a significant difference on the concentration (they both taste equally awful, anyways). Besides, since the Korean product is cheaper, they can afford to increase the dosage.
PS. Chlorophyte=green algae. |
