Has everyone forgotten that until last friday Obama was down by 10-20 points? He pulled 9 delegates same as Clinton, isn't that a tie, not a loss. And in NH, unlike Iowa, they can't change. Obama is guaranteed those delegates at the convention. The talking heads are more talking asses tonight. This is not so much an "upset" as a surprising outcome for Obama. He should have lost by 10+ points, not 2.
I think the most ignored aspect is Edwards' speech. He says he is commited to running right up until the convention. If the back and forth continues, and it looks like it will with Clinton ahead in Nevada and Obama ahead in South Carolina, Edwards' delegates just might make him the next VP after all. I wonder who he would support. |

Same thing with Guiliani and Paul, in terms of number of delegates.

His delegates will do diddly SQUAT to getting him the vice prez nomination. The prez candidate will choose his/her own running mate. And there's no way in hell Clinton as the prez candidate would choose Edwards over Obama, not with many of the negative things Edwards has said about her and her backers (if you recall some sparks from the debates). |

| I don't think from a choice standpoint either would have anything to do with Edwards. But if he stays in the run for the nomination he keeps his delegates from the non-'all or nothing' states and from the caucus states where his delegates don't switch over to another candidate they may not have much choice. If Edwards holds enough delegates, and they'll listen switch to whatever candidate he tells them to, to give Clinton or Obama the advantage he stands in a very good position to make some very specific demands. Who knows what he'll want, he's said he won't run for VP again but we'll see how things shake out. |

Would Obama even run with her? |

Well, he certainly was full of good things to say about her in the debates, though of course he had a nice guy image to maintain.
A vice-presidency for a fortysomething senator is a good way of setting up a presidental run in the future, especially if she locks up the presidency before the convention and is in the position to name a running mate early as usual.
I guess some of you think it'll be a horse race. Superduper Tuesday will basically hand the nomination to Clinton. But maybe your background info on those states is different, and then there's the recent media hype which is quite myopic (e.g., making it look like McCain has a chance on the Republican side! lol). |

Vote Fraud Expert Warns Of New Hampshire Chicanery
Key vulnerabilities of Diebold machine identified
Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet
Tuesday, January 8, 2008
"It's not who votes that counts. It's who counts the votes."
Uncle Joe Stalin.
Vote fraud expert Bev Harris has warned that New Hampshire's electronic voting machines are wide open to fraud and that even modestly skilled computer programmers were able to identify key vulnerabilities within ten minutes of assessing them as key Democrat and Republican primaries unfold today.
The contract for programming all of New Hampshire's Diebold voting machines, which combined will count 81 per cent of the vote today, is owned by LHS Associates, which also holds the "contracts" for Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Vermont.
LHS is owned by John Silvestro, who has been at the center of a long-running public dispute in trying to deflect accusations made by hacker Harri Hursti that the machines can easily be rigged.

Y'know Dave, comments such as this simply show you could not care less for the legitimacy of the process
& openly condone the poorly veiled criminality.
But i guess most objective readers here already knew this.
If you honestly cared about your country, you'd stop being so ignorant. |

But what does this noble purpose and epic battle have to do with Dave's ESL Cafe? |
