It seems that Korea only sells the censored low grade porn but is it illegal to bring a laptop and external hard drive with hardcore porn, downloaded movies and music that you downloaded? Is it illegal to bring porno dvds into the country as well? |

You may have trouble bringing a guide-dog into the country. |

ha ha yeah yeah. But it isn't illegal right? I don't need a guide dog - I have super thick glasses and suspenders that would make Larry King jealous. |

So is it legal or illegal in South Korea? Let me know. Will they inspect my laptop for videos? |

So what would happen if I had some hidden on my laptop? What is the worst that could happen legally? Is it advisable not to bring ANY porn into the country at all? |

What sort of porn are you talking about?
Beastiallity, scat, simulated rape or just normal porn.
I think if you got found with a video of a Brazilian girl eating poo and then puking i back into her mates bumhole they may be a bit reluctant to let you in the country. |

I really dont think they could care less...
considering you can pop down to the local market and buy copied DVDs on every corner... as well as PS and Xbox games...
they even have porn internet cafes....
if you are really worried keep your favourites and download 100GB of new porn from the net when you get here. |

Or, they might ask you if you don't mind waiting a minute while they make a quick copy of it. |

I suppose, if somehow you were suspect for something else, and they decide to start up and tool through your laptop (and found porn) you'd get in trouble.
Probably 1 chance in a million they'd do that, though. |

It is illegal, of course. You will notice on your declaration card you have to declare if you're bringing in porn or not.
The simplest thing to do is simply rename your jpg files with a new extension like ".tmp" as well as your movie files. I'm certain they would only do a quick search on jpg/avi etc. That's not to say they don't have tools to check out what you've deleted but is still recoverable. To wit, a laptop without photos or movies might seem too clean. So surely have family photos, episodes of Lost, whatever. |
