Why is his last name Richardson?
Both of his parants are Mexican, right? |

Well that isn't a big suprise given his poor showing in both states. Remember he served in multiple capacities under the Clinton Administration. My guess is they have the leg up and the eventual endorsement will go to them.
Certainly Richardson's term doesn't end until 2011, so it's hard to say for sure if he's looking for a job or not.
EDIT: According to the AP story, he is term limited and can't run again in 2010. |

Too bad, I wanted to see his showing in Nevada.
But then again, how do you compete with the momentum of the other three campaigns. |

I'm disappointed he didn't do better. Just looking at his resume, he is the most qualified of all the candidates of either party (based on executive experience). Too bad he didn't shine better on the stump or on TV.
To answer the question of his name:
Bill Richardson was born... to William Blaine Richardson Jr. (18911972), a banker who lived and worked in Mexico City for decades, and Mara Luisa Lpez-Collada Mrquez (born 1914)...Three of his four grandparents were Mexican, and he identifies himself as Hispanic... He is also a descendant of Mayflower passengers through the Richardson line. [/quote] |
