So I'm trying to buy my airplane ticket to the Phillippines. It is very important that I know AS SOON AS POSSIBLE when I'll be arriving, what airport,, etc, so I can make proper vacation plans and make the needed trip to immi for a re-entry permit.

Yesterday afternoon I attempted to purchase the ticket. I was told I'd get e-delivery in 3 hours. This morning the ticket was still not e-mailed to me, and my credit card account had still not been debited. I called the travel agent. He was (of course Rolling Eyes ) immediately apologetic, and told me that the ticket would be delivered "between 1 and 2 pm". At 1:30 I received an email from him telling me that he'd left his laptop at home and "couldn't find" any of my info on his office desktop. He asked me to please resend him the information, and that I'd be issued my ticket "as soon as" he got the information retransmitted. I e-mailed him my travel info and once again gave him my credit card info over the phone.

Three hours later, still no debit from my account and no ticket. I just called him. Once again he profusely apologized and assured me that there were only minor delays do to "so many tickets to issue" and that my ticket will arrive by "tonight", "tomorrow afternoon" at the latest.

I want that ticket by the end of tomorrow. Any advice on the best way to intimidate/sweet talk/trick the travel agent into completing the damn transaction?

This is Soho Travel by the way. To my knowledge they have a good reputation for not actually swindling or cheating people, but if anyone knows otherwise, definitely let me know. For that matter, if anyone knows of a place that would offer me a ticket to the Phillippines for 620,000 KRW (tax included) or less, let me know, and I'll try to ply him by threatening to go elsewhere.

He's jerkin' you around.

He is trying to get a better price out of it from someone else.

Find another travel agent immediately and book something solid so you can ditch this guy and move on. Before you know it, it'll be too late and rates will be really high.

Have you tried Shoestring travel? 02-3142-3877

Screw him, go with xanadu travel out of itaewon.

On this topic, my ceiling in my apartment collapsed and has been leaking for about a month now. Someone was supposed to fix it while i was away on vacation but no, still sitting here with no ceiling in my kitchen/dining room. I'm only a waygook though, there are a lot more important beings out there than me, like the neighbourhood dog that go's through our trash.
