The verdict- Newman

The Verdict was pretty good. Remember seeing that one in the theater. When? 1981/2 or something? Maybe I'll see if I can download that one tonight.

Saw King of California yesterday or the day before. Michael Douglas and Evan Rachel Wood. Alright. Killed time.

Recently watched Christine (King) and Crossroads (Ralph Machio).

yeah It was christmas 82.. thought it was a good movie! not one of best court room dramas... but still a good performance from newman and warden..

crossroads.. yeah I remember watching that in the late 80's I really liked that movie! I think I saw it couple years after karate kid & The Three Wishes of Billy Grier, was a good transition for ralph , thought he would have not been type casted as the karate kid after those movies..
both guess he couldnt get away from it! WAX ON WAX OFF buddy..

but yeah I think I might download crossroads watch that again..
must of been like 18-20 years or more since I last saw it..
and now I have a better understanding of what the blues is all about.. now that im in my early 30's not my early teens..
cheers for the heads up...

No Country For Old Men - good atmosphere, but lazily pessimistic with no progression for any characters. Just sits there asking to be adored, which it has been.

Shoot 'Em Up - Paul Giamatti is very funny, but the rest of the film aspires to be the height of action awesomeness-slash-ridiculousness, but it keeps on inserting dumb back story that undercuts this ambition. Rather dull by the end.

Harry Potter 5 - Now I know why I skipped this at the theatre: its basically the same thing AGAIN. Too much background mumbo-jumbo, with MacGuffins everywhere and thus no simple character interaction. Everyone is just after some stupid object, all the time.

I watched Golden Compass from torrent, wanted to watch a half decent film with loads of seeds.

It's really trying to be Lord of the Rings. (Christopher Lee, Ian McKellen) I was amazed at the ending, left me thinking will there be another one.........
