During the study, nearly 2,000 participants died. The death rate was four times lower for people with the following four health habits compared to those without any of those health habits:

-No smoking
-At least half an hour of daily physical activity
-Moderate drinking (between one and 14 alcoholic drinks per week)
-Eating at least five daily servings of fruits and vegetables (based on
blood levels of vitamin C)

14 drinks a week is considered moderate? I'd call that quite a bit of drinking.

A glass or two of alchohol per day has been recently proven to help the heart.

If one or two helps, imagine what 12 could do!

I eat fried foods once every 2 months and I'm pretty good on avoiding sweets and alchohol. Other carbs, well, that's a different ballgame - low-fat cookies, rice once a day, ramyun, mandu are the main culprits.

Going to the gym for the last 4 months has certainly helped my physique.

Well, I have my weekly 14 pints every saturday night. Didn't realise I was staying within the bounds of healthiness!
