But what does this noble purpose and epic battle have to do with Dave's ESL Cafe?

Y'know Dave, comments such as this simply show you could not care less for the legitimacy of the process
& openly condone the poorly veiled criminality.

But i guess most objective readers here already knew this.

If you honestly cared about your country, you'd stop being so ignorant.

Nope, comments like your show that all you can do is attack and smear other candidates. Will you retract your smear of Obama? Of course not, you'd never even acknowledge it was a smear because in your mind you justify it somehow.

What I said had nothing to do with Paul, but the behavior of Paul supporters. Now if you want to talk about someone not "caring" about the process, you've chosen the wrong person. I've been involved in many different campaigns as a volunteer and contributor. In addition, I've actually run a political campaign (granted on a local level). Maybe you don't like who I support, but I at least have the gull to support someone.

Let's see if you have the balls to respond. I'm guessing you don't.

Supporters of Paul & Obama Unite For A Recount In NH
61 Signatures

Published by Shaun Hawkes on Jan 10, 2008
Category: Politics
Region: United States of America
Target: United States Of America

Description/History:
Ron Paul had two precincts, Sutton and Greenville, that BOTH claimed to receive ZERO votes for him in the recent New Hampshire primary.

In the same ballot Rudy Giuliani received many more votes than would be expected for a candidate with no momentum from previous primaries and very low poll numbers in a state where he did not see fit to even campaign.

Barack Obama received significantly less votes than was predicted in the vast majority of polls whilst Hillary Clinton received significantly more votes than were predicted.

This coupled with the statistical analyses demonstrating that BOTH candidates potentially lost HUGE numbers of votes when comparing hand counts to machine counts (91% of the vote in New Hampshire was machine counted) should, in the interests of ensuring that a true representation of the will of the people is reflected in the results, be enough to drive any Paul or Obama supporter to sign this petition, regardless of party or candidate affiliation.

Given that both men are running for the office of President of the United States, an office that exists solely of the people, for the people and by the people, one assumes that they will both accept this request and represent the will of the people to demand this recount should enough signatures be accumulated.

Petition:
We, the undersigned, call on Congressman Ron Paul and Junior Senator Barack Obama, in the interests of fair play and truth at the ballot boxes, to request a hand recount of ALL votes cast in the 2008 New Hampshire Primary.

Sign the petition:

"Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, you will
cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost."

Igotthisguitar: I recd your pm. I decline.

If you must know, I question your sanity, not for your "philosophy," as you describe it, but for (a) spamming this board with seven or eight of the same exact posts on seven or eight threads every time you post; (b) your irrational hostility towards Jews; (c) your inability to see anything but conspiracy theories in the world; and most of all (d) for your belief that you are waging an actual real-world war on this board, fighting evil, etc., and that those of us who might disagree with you must perforce be in the employ of intelligence agencies and spreading disinformation and misinformation.

In short, you operate so far out of flux with reality that it is hard to believe it is not an act. But when it becomes clear that it is indeed not an act, well, that strikes me as insane.

So there it is. I would wager real money that any psychiatrist reviewing your posts -- and if you affirmed all of it in personal interviews as well -- most likely would diagnose you a paranoid.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and make a bold claim: I say anyone running for president is a very ambitious person. There, I've said it. Disagree with me if you must.

A very ambitious person, surrounded by a lot of equally ambitious advisors who have access to investigators and lawyers who have access to experts who have access to information not available to the general public a day or two after the New Hampshire primary can and will make a decision to challenge the New Hampshire vote if they see cause. An online petition like this is not going to influence a candidate. I think they will do everything possible to protect their interests without our encouragement.

January 10, 2008
Rumors of NH vote-counting scandal fan flames of conspiracy

Part of the result from Tuesday's primary - that Hillary Clinton did better than Barack Obama in more densley populated areas of the state - has led to an Internet rumor that optical ballot-counting machines skewed the tally.

The rumor made it to the popular site Slashdot.org today, which has a history of driving so much Internet traffic that it can crash computers.

The argument is that Clinton did notably better in precincts with machine-counted ballots, while Obama did notably better in precincts with hand-counted ballots. Because New Hampshire's optical counters are made by Diebold, which makes much-criticized electronic voting machines, this has fueled rumors the results were the result of, in the words of Slashdot's headline, "Diebold fraud".

However, only the smallest communities (such as Lyndeborough and Mont Vernon) still hand-count ballots, so this difference could also be explained by a difference in voter preferences between more rural and more urban voters.
