My sympathy is entirely with Reginald Denny and others like him. If you don't recognize that name, you can Google it.
And here's a little-known fact: If you don't do PCP, don't recklessly endanger the lives of innocent people, pull over when law enforcement officials order you to, and in general, don't be a thug, then you won't get the Rodney King treatment. It's really simple enough for most people to understand and live by. |
You are a right-winger and possibly a racist.
Sympathizing with both King (who is clearly a drug-absuing loser; but that is beside the point) and Denny is not an either/or choice. Further, although most people on this message board religiously oppose the police in everything they do, I am not one of them. This notwithstanding, those LAPD officers who beat King exceeded the concept "excessive force" that night. What they did was barbaric.
Sorry we do not see the same thing here. But LAPD clearly violated King's civil rights that night, to say the least. |

No, it wasn't. King resisted in an inhuman and dangerous fashion. You are certainly not a peace officer yourself, nor I doubt have you ever known one. You are also blind to the scourge of violent crime in U.S. cities.
Perhaps if the LAPD had waterboarded King back at the station house it would have been OK? |

I knew that a large portion of Ron Paul's supporters didn't like the colored folks but am saddened to find out that he shares such views. Say it ain't so Ron! |
Don't be taken in by this crap. |

There's a rather amusing Wolf Blitzer interview of RP desperately trying to distance himself from his past. From the sounds of it RP shouldn't be held responsible for what went out under his name for a decade or more because he was too busy to read it. That in itself is kind of odd...here is this newsletter that I think you should read because it reflects important ideas from our group, but don't ask me about any of it because I'm too busy to read it, or if I have happened to read it, it wasn't all that important...until of course I'm running for president. Then what is important is not what I used to endorse, but what I say now in a desperate attempt to get you to ignore what I really believed before I thought I had a chance to actually get famous.
Perhaps it's time to slither back under your rock, RP. Jefferson Davis, one of your heroes, may have agreed with your crap, but that was a century and a half ago. |

Strongly suggests and previews the kind of people who would surround and advise a Ron Paul presidency and how he would fail to manage them as commander-in-chief.
Worse than Reagan by leaps and bounds. |
