| I had to take almost all the documents needed from the first time. I wouldn't give them any credit and be ready with everything. |

| My wife stated that we have to get all the same documents again that we submitted last time to prove we are still married. Anyone else corroborate this process? |

I was trying to be lazy I guess. Everything is easy to get except my Marriage certificate. They took my last copy. I hope I don't have to send for a new one from home.. |

The last time I renewed, I needed...
Passport
ARC
Fee (renewal=10,000, new=20,000)
호적등본 (family registry, which includes you)
Wife's 주민등록증 (national id card)
등본 (address for wife and any offspring, but doesn't include you)
However, I recommend calling your local office to verify that this is all that's needed. |

LOL
Last time I went I only brought my ARC, family registry and money.
The person opposite of me was female so I used my charm and broken Korean to get her to accept to prolong my ARC. At the same time I also made an Inquiry about the F5 Visa.
Sometimes you they also ask for your passport.
But as suggested earlier, try to call your office and get your wife to help you out their. My wife hates babysitting me, but its the only way to get things done around here. |

I had my wife call immigration yesterday and this is what they said..
Things needed: Certification of domestic residence report 국내거소신고사실증명
marriage certification 혼인관계증명서 and also She has to sign another guarantee, application , and your passport and arc card. They said no money proof was needed this time. Also this Christmas I went to Guam and when I got my Re Entry permit the officer said when I renew to ask for the 2 year version f-2-1 because it comes with some free Re Entry permits? But she said you have to request this or you wont get it! I'm going on Tuesday I will let everyone know what happens. |

Well here's my update.. I only had to fill out the application, give a copy of the marriage proof, give my wife's proof of residence,Give up my passport and ARC card, and pay the 2만 won. But they only gave me another 1 year f-2-1. They said you get a 1 year the first and second times then you get the 2 year visa And to get out of doing the Re Entry permit I paid 5만 for the multiple Re Entry . But overall not bad. |

I renewed my F-2-1 a couple days ago at Anguk Immigration.
In my case, first was a one year, now a two year, and in 2010, another two year. We had to mention the F-5, and was told we could apply for that then. I mentioned multiple entry permits being free for F-2 two yearers, and he looked in his regulation papers (plus asked someone else), and said no can do. I'm American, by the way. |
