There is a collaborative project in development that is looking for freelance writers, journalists, and photo enthusiasts, to take on roles of section editors and contributors. The future site will be covering living, working, and travelling in Korea.
If you are interested and would like to learn about how you can contribute, then feel free to visit http:(edit: deadYahooGroups link. See later in the thread for new URL and update)

I haven't read the thread yet as it's pretty long already, but I was thinking I should start up a forum and let people talk about about life in Korea as it's never been done before. Who wants to sign up? |

I'm sorry, but I do wish you all the best.
One thing you might want to consider. Instead of doing a straight ESL website, specialize in certain areas. Like for example private tutoring in Korea, or something like that. The ESL field seems pretty crowded as is, and it might be a good idea to differentiate. |

It's got elements of that in it. It's got elements of other things that haven't been done in other sites. It's not a vanilla site. Besides, I've been looking for a comparable site for living, working, travelling in Korea, and I haven't found it. Except for forums here, PusanWeb, and KoreaBridge. It's more of a hybrid of Bootsnall.com, Hotjobs.com, and Chefmoz.org, among other influences. |

FYI update: Well, it took me a year and a half to clear my slate and come back to this, but we're finally in development. Some changes to the overall model, but still basically maintaining the article-driven, e-zine format that I originally had planned.

Sounds like a good idea. I might be able to contribute a little bit to the site. Hoping that it goes well.
