|
|
When I send money home to Canada obviously I want to make the most amount possible on the exchange, so what information should I be monitoring so that I can send money home at the best time possible?
How well the Loonie is doing? The American dollar? The Won? All three?
And under which circumstances will it be a good idea to send the money? if the Loonie is high? low?
Help please?!? |

You need not worry about the American dollar when exchanging from won to CAD. You should be solely concerned with won vs cad. Focus on them, ignore the USD. Right now the won-cad is about 935. That blows. You want to wait for something between 800 and 850 |

how long can you wait?
i've only been here a couple of months, but speaking with friends that have been here a couple of years they were complaining that the dollar is too strong.
to be honest, why do you think that's going to change anytime soon? |

Charts for the last few years show that the rate has been favorable betwee March and May. Don't know why, can't say if it will happen again.
I will NOT be sending money home if it stays above 850 |

I recommend a currency exchange calculator:
http://www.xe.com/ucc/
Also....the charge to wire money to Canada is the same if it is a large amount or a small amount. So wait and send a larger amount ( under 10,000 USD).
Today:
1,000,000.00 KRW (to) => 1,084.230 CAD
South Korea Won Canada Dollars
1 KRW = 0.00108423 CAD 1 CAD = 922.314 KRW |
