Quote:

Nathaniel Heidenheimer found this Youtube very useful. "I had heard a lot of different things about the right-wing nature of Dallas. This tries to bring it all together."

Note the National Indignation Conference (!?!) with Cabell and Walker in December 1961

Also note the warning before the visit by the chief of Police.

It really adds perspective to the Secret Service's inaction.

Various statements by reverent W.A.Holmes and M. Belli (Defense counselor for Jack Ruby), regarding the city of Dallas. Including B.J.Hargis regarding the state of America.

Also from the National Indignation Convention Dec. 13th 1961, the mayor of Dallas - E.Cabell with general E.Walker. Some footage covering the assassination attempt at General Walker.

Some from Adlai Stevenson's visit October 24th 1963, where he encounters a not very friendly crowd. Alabama governor G.Wallace announce candidacy to head democratic ticket for presidency, using Dallas.

Police Chief Jesse Curry addresses the people that nothing degrading must happen to the president during his visit, and that the DPD will do anything in their power to prevent this. This in light of the Adlai Stevenson incident.

I think you are using the appellation "university professors" too loosely.

Actually, unlike the other conspiracy theories, like the fake moon landing and 911 conspiracy, the Kennedy killing has a pretty convincing set of facts that suggest more than one shooter.

Download the British documentary, The Men Who Killed Kennedy.

Thanks--I am always learning new stuff as a result of being on this board!

But I would be referring to those qualified and teaching a subject other than ESL at the tertiary level. But in my opinion, even those teaching English at university here have an obligation to act like an adult--in and out of the classroom--on and off message boards.

I just don't see a real teacher--much less a university one trolling boards like this one other than to discuss ideas. Knocking down people as a sport is a low life activity.

Indeed. When I first started posting here about the subject , I expected most people to respond--if they bother to respond at all say something similar to what you say or " who didnt know that? Or is this supposed to be news?"

Instead there were a few; not many, who sincerely do not get what went on, despite an overwhelming amount of evidence available at this time.

Some were pimping me in their discussions but some are really that closed minded.

That is scary!

The topic of RFK killing Ms. Monroe is being discussed here:

http://educationforum.ipbhost.com/index.php?s=5740a4d16b9d553b59b06b356d077567&showforum=235

This has been somewhat of a hot topic since the mid-sixties and it shows no signs of cooling. Opinion in general these days leans toward the theory that RFK engineered her death and was present at the time of it.

There are some however, who feel that Marilyn's death was an attempt to frame RFK and various names have been put forward over the years as culprits for this. The mob in particular have been named as likely suspects because of RFK's crackdown on their activities and because of Joe and Jack Kennedy's reneging on alleged electoral promises to Giancana.

A number of researchers, most notably perhaps Donald H Wolfe and Robert Slatzer, have concluded that RFK was involved, though there are inconsistencies in their published research which have led some to conclude that they have been selective in presenting their findings or have been subjective in interpretation.

I'd be interested in opinions on this topic.

Marilyn Monroe was trying to warn the Kennedys., She was murdered because she knew too much.

And it didn't have anything to do with the Kennedys, she considered them to be her allies.

Joe DiMaggio: Marilyn's real-life Hero

By Mat Wilson

Joe DiMaggio met Marilyn Monroe in 1952, he was thirty-seven, she was twenty-five. He was the original, Broadway Joe the dominant force in the New York Yankees dynasty and the most famous star in Baseball history. Marilyn Monroe would become the most famous star in Hollywood history, but when she met Joe, he was the star.

Joe DiMaggio married Marilyn Monroe On January 14, 1954, and it was the dawn of the most touching love story in American history. Unfortunately, the zeal to assassinate the character of President John F. Kennedy effectively buried the truth about the genuine love that Marilyn and Joe shared. According to popular misconception, it was the President, not Joe DiMaggio who was supposed to be Marilyn Monroe's love interest on the day she died.

The reason behind the depth of the love between Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe is succinctly captured by Richard Ben Cramer. According to the author of Joe DiMaggio: The Hero's Life:

In the words of Harry Truman; "If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen.

4 of the last 7 postings are you, pontificating on a discredited conspiracy theory about the Kennedy assassination. You have infested this forum like flees on a dog and then you get your knickers in a twist when the comments get personal.

It is personal, you dolt, you are the one who keeps posting and reposting this nearly fifty year old tripe.

That's idiotic . For the record , I don't see a real teacher being someone who lacks the intelligence to determine the difference between professional and private life . Or the internet and real life for that matter .

Who says knocking down people for sport is a low life activity ? Have you met any other human beings ? What could be more noble than knocking them down ?

CB--what's your point of the Kennedy (JFK) killed Ms. Monroe posts?

Joe DiMaggio died convinced JFK had Monroe killed

By ANNETTE WITHERIDGE IN NEW YORK

HE WAS only married to Marilyn Monroe for nine turbulent months, but
Joe DiMaggio, the reclusive US baseball legend, vowed he would never
forgive the Kennedys for her death.

Now, four years after his own demise, the man immortalised by Simon
and Garfunkel in the song Mrs Robinson appears to have his revenge.

A new book, written by his long-time lawyer and close companion Morris
Engelberg, reveals he really did believe the Kennedy clan killed Monroe.

"They murdered the one person I loved," DiMaggio confided to Mr
Engelberg.

...

DiMaggio shed no tears when the Kennedys were assassinated.
According to the book, which contains a foreword by Henry Kissinger,
DiMaggio believed "they got what they deserved".

This is all part of the The Posthumous Assassination of JFK. First you kill the man, then you kill his name.

The Posthumous Assassination of JFK Part II
Sy Hersh and the Monroe/JFK Papers:
The History of a Thirty-Year Hoax
By James DiEugenio
On September 25, 1997, ABC used its news magazine program 20/20 to take an unusual journalistic step. In the first segment of the program, Peter Jennings took pains to discredit documents that had been about to be used by its own contracted reporter for an upcoming show scheduled for broadcast. The contracted reporter was Seymour Hersh. The documents purported to show a secret deal involving Marilyn Monroe, Sam Giancana, and President John F. Kennedy. They were to be the cornerstone of Hershs upcoming Little, Brown book, The Dark Side of Camelot. In fact, published reports indicate that it was these documents that caused the publisher to increase Hershs advance and provoke three networks to compete for a television special to hype the book. It is not surprising to any informed observer that the documents imploded. What is a bit surprising is that Hersh and ABC could have been so naive for so long. And it is ironic that ABC should use 20/20 to expose a phenomenon that it itself fueled twelve years ago.

What happened on September 25th was the most tangible manifestation of three distinct yet overlapping journalistic threads that have been furrowing into our culture since the Church Committee disbanded in 1976. Hershs book would have been the apotheosis of all three threads converged into one book. In the strictest sense, the convergent movements did not actually begin after Frank Churchs investigation ended. But it was at that point that what had been a right-wing, eccentric, easily dismissed undercurrent, picked up a second windso much so that today it is not an eccentric undercurrent at all. It is accepted by a large amount of people. And, most surprisingly, some of its purveyors are even accepted within the confines of the research community.

It was proven in 1997 that JFK did it himself. Lister, Rimmer, the Cat and Kryten accidently bumped Oswald out of shooting position as they beamed into the book repository using the time wand to travel back in time (to Dallas in 1963 by chance) in order to get a 20th-century curry.

Lister later used the time wand to meet up with JFK (who hadn't been assassinated because the gang had spoiled Oswald's shot, remember?), persuade him to come back to Dallas and "be the second gunman" from behind the grassy knoll. "It'll drive the conspiracy nuts crazy, but they'll never figure it out".

I bought Tikka to Ride on Ebay for a couple of bucks, but it is the wrong region. Sounds like a great episode.

Anyone in the UK want to buy it for a good price?
