9/11 Mastermind "Confesses" In Guantanamo
By LOLITA C. BALDOR, Associated Press Writer
59 minutes ago

WASHINGTON - Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the "suspected" mastermind of the Sept. 11 attacks, "confessed" to that attack and a chilling string of other terror plots during a military hearing at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, according to a transcript released Wednesday by the Pentagon.

"I was responsible for the 9/11 operation from A to Z," Mohammed said in a statement read during the session, which was held last Saturday.

The transcripts also refer to a claim by Mohammed that he was tortured by the CIA, although he said he was not under duress at the U.S. naval base at Guantanamo when he confessed to his role in the attacks Rolling Eyes

US Bars Attorneys' Access To Detainees
By BEN FOX, Associated Press Writer

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico - Attorneys for at least 40 Guantanamo Bay prisoners have been barred from visiting or writing their clients because of a judge's order dismissing legal challenges to the men's confinement, the U.S. Department of Justice said Friday.

A Justice Department lawyer informed the attorneys of the "new" restrictions in an e-mail
that cited Thursday's dismissal of their cases by District Court Judge Ricardo Urbina in Washington.

"In light of this development, counsel access (both legal mail and in-person visits) is no longer permitted,"
Justice Department lawyer Andrew I. Warden ... said ... in the e-mail.

If I were that guy, I'd be taking credit for everything. Why not? You know you're going to be rotting in jail for the rest of your life or killed. He should be telling them he killed JFK, Jimmy Hoffa, Tupac, etc. What does he have to lose? Also, I would really enjoy hearing that guy confess to killing Tupac.

I would prefer that guy never see the light of day. In the begining they sent more people to Gitmo than should have gone. Since then they have filtered the super bad from the idiots and sent the idiots home. Unfortunatly they sent a few super bad guys back home as well some of whom have been caught again.

If we do eventually close that place (in no way shape or form a gulag, they had to work for their food at a gulag) I think we should arm these guys and parachute them into Europe and San Francisco.
