Hi,

I have 512MB (2 x 256MB DDR PC2700) in a hp pavilion zv5000.

I am hoping to upgrade this to 2 Mb until we can justify getting a new laptop.

Any knowledge of where is a reasonably priced place to get 2x1GB sticks.
New or Used, I'm easy.

Thanks,
Ken

You first have to be sure how many ram slots you have. Probably only 2, so you need to buy 2 * 1GB ram sticks for that laptop.

GL.

Also..check the kind of ram. Usually Samsung is fine but you want to get them the same.

There are 2 slots with 256MB DDR PC2700 in each.

I would like to get 2 x 1GB DDR PC2700 to fill the 2 slots, any recommendations as to where to make a purchase? Can I buy online from Korea?

Thanks for your time,
Ken

I upgraded my HP DV 6125se to 2gigs recently. I got the sticks at a shop (one with HP signs) right near the HP service center in Yongsan. My RAM is ddr2 pc2 5300s. I paid 40,000won for 2 Samsung 1gig sticks. You could probably get it cheaper. I just didn't feel like haggling at the time. Good luck!

Thanks esetters21,

I wonder if I can check availability online anywhere, of what I need?
I think I am an hour plus from Yongsan.

I don't know how recent these listings are. Danawa has a tendency to not update their site at times. Of course you have to be able to navigate in Korean as well if you want to order, so this probably isn't much help to you.
