I known there are an awful lot of unions in this country, but is there one for expat EFL teachers? If not it might be a good idea to start one. Since the people that would belong to one would work for many different companies it might not work well to strike because of one shifty 학원 owner but may be able to help the Korean government implement better policies. Both for policing the teachers and stopping unscrupulous practices of employers.
Good explanations straight from the horses mouth could help shape policy and prevent problems for noobs. |

No there's not. Let's start one, eh? It may just be the first proposed teachers' union - this year... but it certainly won't be the last. Ha ha. |
