When you first came to Korea, did you gain or lose weight?

What about now?

lost about 30kgs.

Nothing like 'you're fat, here have some food' to make you want to lose weight.

I have mostly lost weight, although, I lost (accustomed to new diet minus rice) , then gained (imbibed in beer to often) , then lost (wife went in the hospital for a month for preterm labor, stress and stopped drinking. Well not altogether. I still have the odd beer here and there.)

Lost it whenever I moved someplace new, then gained it all back when I discovered how to feed myself there.

Korean food isn't a miracle diet like the locals believe. You have to take your flabby ass to the gym just like back home.

When I first arrived, I lost weight. That sucked, because I've always had a hard time keeping weight on and it was upsetting not to be able to at least maintain. After two-odd years, though, I've put on about 7kg (most of it muscle) and am now at 107.

Lost. Went on a strict diet of 2 or 3 choco pies every morning to keep my pants from hanging off my ass. Gained back more than I wanted. Went back down to a good weight. Now I've entered a lazy phase and added some.

Expected to lose.

Gained 15 kilos.

Must've been the 'drinking every night' thing.

lost fat, gained weight.

jeans are geting looser around the waist, but tighter around the butt and thighs. t-shirts starting to a little tighter. basically, i've put on a few kilos of muscle. it's all good, but i hate the expense of buying new clothes.

Also thought I would lose a bunch of weight coming here, but gained maybe 5kg or so and I think I have gotten almost back to my normal weight after really paying attention to what I was eating... and definitely stopped with the samgyeopsal and constant rice/noodle-eating.

Like I posted on the "diet support" thread. I've lost 50kgs in the 9 month period before Christmas. I am trying to lose another another 12 before the end of contract in June. Then i go on the muscle building routine.

Lost and then gained. About where I started now.

I live pretty well as hedonistically as my wallet can allow, and for the first few months that wasn't much.

Gained at first...I blame the late-night street food- then lost.
Being 5'4", I like how the pants here actually fit, but slightly resent having to buy a bigger size for being 105 instead of 90 pounds.
