Only the chronic overuse of cocaine by TV producers can explain why that guy ever got on TV. He was bad in Taxi and went downhill from there. |

While I can respect your opinion, I strongly disagree. The man was a creative genius, do you realize how difficult his job was? If he was as bad as you say, explain his fan base. Even Elvis presley loved him. He made some people laugh, and many uncomfortable...but that was the beauty in his work...tremendous amount of energy in an audience that doesn't know if they should laugh or get up and leave.
Any confrontation, to him...was funny. He would laugh at you for getting angry with him. Screw you, if you hate me, but did I get to you?

Maybe it was my young age (12-13) but I grew up during his reign and really I never much found him funny. |

We're friends, SuperFly. You don't have to be PC.
I will merely quote P.T. Barnum: No one went broke underestimating public taste. |

I think "funny" is the wrong word to describe Kaufman. Unless you mean funny, as in "that tastes funny"... |

Loved Taxi, didn't like Andy. Yeah a few of his acts were funny but mostly he was there to p iss people off. I don't really like that style of humor. |

Never got Kaufman. His style or anything about him. He makes as much sense to me as that geeky Korean comedian with the bleached blond hair. |
