Yes it does. They interviewed some 50 foreigners living in Korea, probably half English teachers I think, asking them what they find inconvenient or irritating about life in Korea. Unsurprisingly of course, they echoed many complaints aired on internet forums. Anyway you can read the three lengthy articles produced here (in order):
http://koreabeat.com/?p=650
http://koreabeat.com/?p=654
http://koreabeat.com/?p=675
Anyway, it shows that in between the "marijuana party" stuff there are reporters writing pretty much what I think a lot of people here would like them to. Not bad, overall. |

Interesting read. It is definately what makes Korea a "fun adventure" and annoying all at the same time. |

All of these little difficulties help keep foreigners away, and my salary higher. The parents pay more for me to educate their children.
The Korean government is too short-sighted to figure this one out.
Oh well. I'll just keep making higher rates and shipping more of it home. |

My believe is that this will take at least another generation.
First the old insecure generation has to die off or go ona pension, and then the generation that actually experienced the world, will change things for the better.
about 10-20 years from now. |
