just wondering if anyone has tried using a KB International Debit Card back home in Canada? My last paycheck will come after I leave, and was wondering if anyone has tried using the KB IC card back home? I have the one with the Masetro and Cirrus logo's on it...anyone have any experience other than using it in other asian countries? |

You must ask the bank directly.
My Hana bank card said "international" and wasn't, unless I was at a bank that did business in Korea.
I had to request a new on that would work in every country, and this was before the Aug 2007 "rule" (see: total racist bullshit) that foreigners can't have international cards. |

Tell your boss this simply isn't good enough. You should be paid everything you are owed BEFORE you leave Korea. What's to stop your boss keeping the money, knowing fine well that you are virtually powerless to do anything about it.

True that. But if you're curious, I used a KB international card in America over Christmas, no problem. I had troubles with my Hana Bank card, though. |

You believe your boss? If I were you I'd get every penny owed before you leave the country. The laws on your side here...your employer must pay you everything owed no later than the last day of your contract. What your boos may do (happens all the time, an old Hogwon scheme) is not pay you your last paycheck and severance and you'll be powerless to do anything about it. Talk to him today and tell him you aren't going anywhere but to the labour office if you aren't paid in total before leaving. |
