| My wife wanted to change her last name when we move to Canada. I told her to keep "Park". In Toronto having an immigrant's name looks good on resumes. |

what did your husband think about you changing your surname? didn't he think it was a weird custom? |
At first he was like, "We don't do that here," but once my dad explained the custom to him in more detail, he wanted me to change my name and was supportive.
I didn't want to have a different surname from my son, so I guess that was my biggest reason for changing it. |

no my specific 김씨 started 400 years before the Khan existed... 
can I ask what clan u and ur family are from? is it a big one? mine's sorta rare... i doubt u heard of it... |

But wouldn't she be only 1 of about 5,000? Assuming that 10 percent of the K-population has the name Park and there are about 50,000 Koreans in Toronto... |

I mean come on now, I'm all for keeping it real and all, but again, are you serious Altavistic?
And if I remember correctly most guys reference this in regards to their surprise that they do so.
I've certainly not heard another poster interpret this lack of condoms as a sign that Korean women desperately desire to have some sort of arayn seed implanted in them. |
