Has this happened to you?
So I finally get all the pieces of the new Korean Visa Scavenger Hunt together, FedEx them all to Korea, and my recruiter tells me a week later I need to send another sealed transcript because customs opened the first one. According to my recruiter, this happens "from time to time."
Chalk up on my tab another $60 + the expenses of staying home unemployed another week.
What... in... the... hell? How is anyone supposed to ever work here? |

DHL has been doing this.
Now FEDEX?
Yep... nobody will be able to work here.
Of course, you're welcome to fly here and give it to them in person, then fly back home for your consulate interview (all on your own dime, of course). |

Send them over by EMS (express mail from the post office) or just use 1st class airmail.
It takes about 2 days longer and has NONE of the problems with the stuff getting opened.
It is also HEAPS cheaper than using FEDEX, DHL or UPS. |

| Is that a guaranteed none? Because at this point I'm thinking of just cutting my losses on principle and never speaking of Korea again. Fool me twice, etc. |

| Ask your school to help you with the additional fees. If they don't, then cut your losses, at least with that school, and find another. Oh, and order several copies of your transcripts each time to always have extras on-hand. |

I used expresspost from CAnada post to send a criminal record check and it was the same cost as Fedex... so scratch the express post idea.. |
