Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone knew about any curling rinks around Seoul?

I'm a big curler and so I was hoping to maybe rent out a few sheets of ice and organize a bit of a bonspiel with my friends.

I looked for a bit of info but I couldnt find much of anything and what I did find was all in Korean.

I realize curling maybe isnt the most popular sport but I'd figure I'd ask anyways and see if anyone knew something.

Thanks!

That would be awesome but highly improbable.

Found something!

Korea has curling teams and it sounds like they do fairly well nationally for Asia.

They list an e-mail here, and I bet whoever answers it knows English.

E-mail me if you want to curl. I'm friends and curl with a curling club located near Andong city. Its a Canadian replica and we could go anytime to curl there. The ice was made by Shorty Jenkins (if you know who that is). They always want me to bring other foreigners and have a some games there. There only club in Seoul is for the olympic teams to practice. In Gangwon they play on the hockey rinks, but I don't know exactly where.

If anyone is interested just e-mail me and we can arrange a day to meet there.

My e-mail address is [email protected]

That might actually be worth the trip. I'd love to teach my wife how to play.

Ya I sent an email. I'm going to see how many other people around here would be interested.

It would be a fun weekend trip.

Is there any way to get on the ice sometime this season? My shoes and broom are in Canada... but I'm sure I can borrow a rink broom and I do need a new set of curling shoes Wink
